Baas Art
Problem:
Baas Art Gallery provides both framing services and
an art gallery with six-week, rotating shows. Overall
revenue and margins had steadily decreased over the
previous year threatening store closure. However,
the owner had built a sizable customer following
and wanted to better use this list for marketing
purposes in a way that reduced existing marketing
costs.

Solution:
First we helped
the owner identify her target customers for each
business and realize that her framing target customer
cared about value not just cost.
Next, using a simple spreadsheet we demonstrated that
a 10% across-the-board price increase could increase
her profit by almost 300%, and that her target customers
would still view her product as a good value. Finally we
used Constant Contact, with its easy-to-use interface,
to establish a regular email correspondence with
customers to replace an expensive postcard-based
marketing approach, resulting in raves from
customers and media alike. We branded the templates
to match the website, and store staff now edit and
send out the monthly upcoming show announcements.
